Additional POI Details

1. Navigate to the POI editing screen and click on the ‘Add New’ button.

2. You can include various details about your POI in the ‘Additional Details’ section, such as:

Text:

  • Description

  • External Identifier

  • Openin Hours

  • Tags

  • Keywords

  • Price

Image:

  • Logo

  • Image

Hyperlink:

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • Menu

  • Website

  • Book/Reserve

  • Order

  • Rating

3. Description (Optional): POIs can have textual descriptions. Use this field to add additional description for users to understand what this POI offers. There is no character limit; however, only the first 100 characters will be displayed before a “Read more” option is present.

Note

POI search uses POI descriptions during search. For example, if a restaurant’s description contains “Family friendly restaurant with attentive staff”, searching for “family” will find this POI as well.

4. External identifier (Optional): If needed for specific identification purposes, you can assign an external identifier to your POI. The identifier should be between 1 and 40 characters in length.

Note

During POI search, the External Identifier is utilized. For instance, if a POI’s External Identifier contains “BS17”, you can locate this POI in the search results.

5. Opening Hours (Optional): You can customize the opening and closing hours of your POI individually for each day of the week. Options such as ‘Closed’ and ‘Always Open’ are also available.

Note

Opening times are displayed in AM/PM or 24-hour format, based on user device’s locale setting.

6. Tags (Optional): POIs can have tags that display on their card. Enter the desired words and press ‘Enter’. POIs can be filtered based on selected tags.

7. Keywords (Optional): POIs can have keywords for easy search ability. Use this field to enter relevant words and click the ‘Enter’ button.

8. Price (Optional): POIs can have price rates displayed on their card as $, $$, $$$, or $$$$ regardless of the currency used.

9. Image and logo (Optional): There are two options to add a logo or images to the POI:

  1. Upload
  2. Direct URL

10. Logo (Optional): Logo should be in JPG or PNG format, with a maximum size of 1MB and a 1:1 ratio.

11. Image (Optional): If you want users to have an idea of how the POI actually looks, you can add images to the POI. Images should be in JPG or PNG format, with a maximum size of 2MB and a 16:9 ratio.

12. Email (Optional): By adding an email to the POI, you can enable users to contact the relevant POI when needed.

13. Phone (Optional): By adding a phone number to the POI, you can enable users to contact the relevant POI when needed. Please ensure to include the correct country code when adding the phone number.

14. Menu (Optional): For restaurants or similar establishments, you may want to provide users with a direct link to your menu.

15. Website (Optional): You can add a website to display on your POI card, allowing users to visit the website for more information about the POI.

16. Book/Reserve (Optional): If applicable, you can provide a direct link for users to book or reserve services at your POI.

17. Order (Optional): If applicable, you can include a link for users to place orders directly from your POI card.

18. It is possible to override book/reserve and order links. Check here for the detailed information.

Note

All the links should start with ‘https://’.

19. Lastly, you can add rating information to be displayed on your POI card.
