POI Adding/Editing on Pointr Cloud¶

1. On Pointr Cloud, navigate to the floor where you want to add a POI. (Clients > Sites > Buildings > Levels)

2. Click on the Points of Interest (POI).

3. Click on the ‘Add new’ button.\ \ Note: If you want to edit an existing POI, simply select the POI you wish to edit.

4. A POI editing screen will appear. Select your POI type from the dropdown.

5. Fill in the Name field.

6. Define your POI’s geometry. Choose your geometry type (Rectangle, Polygon or Circle) and start drawing on the map.

7. Finish drawing by right-clicking.

8. That concludes all mandatory fields for POIs.

For a richer experience, click “Add new” in the “Additional Details” section to add more metadata to your POI. The following fields are supported:

Text:

• Description

• External Identifier

• Openin Hours

• Tags

• Keywords

• Price

Image:

• Logo

• Image

Hyperlink:

• Email

• Phone Number

• Menu

• Website

• Book/Reserve

• Order

• Rating

9. You can also add any bespoke / custom fields to your POI’s metadata, in the Custom Integration section. Please refer to the Custom Integration guide for more information.

10. Click on the ‘Add’ button to save the new POI.

11. All the changes you’ve made have been saved! If you want to see these changes reflected in the SDKs, please proceed with the publishing phase. If you don’t need to immediately apply the changes to the SDKs, you can save them now and publish at a later time when needed!

12. To proceed the publish phase, click on the ‘Ready To Stage’ button. When you click on it, the button text will change to ‘Generating Preview’. Wait until the ‘Generating Preview’ text changes to the ‘Review and Publish’ button.

13. Click on the ‘Review and Publish’ button to publish your changes.

14. Review the POI and click on the ‘Publish’ button.

15. Click on the ‘Yes, continue’ button.

16. That’s it! Your newly created POI will appear on your digital map.
