Utilizing Pointr MapScale Service

MapScale is an AI-based service provided by Pointr to discover and define the contents on your map automatically.

Pointr Cloud supports 4 different types of map formats, which include: - GeoJSON - DWG - DXF - PDF

To use MapScale, the map format to be uploaded must be either DWG, DXF, or PDF. There is no need to use MapScale for GeoJSON, as all the contents are already defined within GeoJSON files.

Uploading the Map

  1. To upload a map of a floor, go to Clients > Sites > Buildings > Levels page and click the “Add New” button

    UploadMap1

  2. Fill the Basic Information section by selecting Type, entering Level Index, Long Name and Short Name. Note that the Level Index should be unique, you can not enter the Level Index of previous floors within the same building. Then upload the Floor Plan in GeoJSON, DWG, DXF or PDF format by clicking “Browse” under “Floor Plan” section.

    • Note the following file size limits for different file types:

      • DXF: 100MByte
      • DWG: 50MBytes
      • PDF: 50MBytes
