Known Issues

The purpose of this document is to address the known issues of the Pointr Cloud Dashboard version 8.x - and propose fixes to be applied.

Please refer to this document if you are facing an issue with the Pointr Cloud Dashboard version 8.x. If a fix is introduced for a known issue in the later versions, it will also be included here.

Map Deformations can occur for Zoom Levels Beyond 16

Affected Versions: v8.x

Reason: Performance slowdowns occur when creating high resolution vector tiles for zoom levels 16+. Hence for zoom levels of 16+, some deformations might be observed on map tiles for detailed areas.

Resolution: Given the low usage rates of zoom levels beyond 16, the minor adverse effects can be compansated in most of the cases, so there is currently no planned solution to address this issue that will be worth the degradation in the publish performance.

Blank Results when Filtering by Platform on Analytics Dashboard

Filtering by platform currently causes several fields to show blank rather than calculate correctly based on the platform filter.

Affected Versions: v8.x

Reason: The data model is designed in a way that it is incorrectly defining a relationship between these data points and as such including/excluding filters does not always work as expected between calculated measures.

Note

The raw data is correct, it is only the relationship within the PowerBI data model that has an issue.

Resolution: At current the data model needs to be assessed in order to find a resolution. This will be fixed in a future release.

Field(s) Example
Average new users
Average duration

Unique Users Incorrectly Labeled on Analytics Dashboard

On the usage Analytics Dashboard unique sessions is currently labeled as “per month” when the actual figure is all time.

Affected Versions: v8.x

Reason: Older scope change causes this issue.

Resolution: This is resolved in the latest template, ready for deployment.

Example:

Incorrect Averages on Analytics Dashboard

On usage Analytics Dashboard the current averages are not calculating correctly.
